Intelligent Medical Objects Announces:
Release of Volume 1 of the IMO Medical Annotation Art Library
08/06/1998
Chicago, Illinois, August 6, 1998 - Intelligent Medical Objects,
Inc. today announced the immediate availability of volume 1 of its
Medical Annotation Art Library. The Medical Annotation Art Library
represents IMO's latest addition to its suite of enhanced medical
vocabularies, databases and SDK's designed for use in the computerized
medical record.
The IMO Medical Annotation Art Library features over 200 vector
drawn images. Unlike other image formats that become distorted or
granular when resized, IMO's vector art retains perfect proportions at
all sizes allowing for the greatest flexibility in usage.
"IMO's image library has been designed by illustrators
working closely with practicing physicians with computerized medical
records in mind. As a result, the image library is unique and contains
images commonly needed by practicing physicians for annotating physical
findings and for patient education." said Fabio Almeida M.D., Chief
Medical Officer for IMO.
In addition to providing a library of clinically useful images,
IMO's expertise in codified medical vocabularies allowed the imagery to
be extensively cross-referenced with anatomic nomenclature from SNOMED
(Systematized Nomenclature of Human and Veterinary Medicine).
"IMO's SNOMED codification allows our imagery to be
clinically classified, rapidly searched via key words or via
hierarchical representation, as well as seamlessly integrated into other
systems using SNOMED as a reference terminology." said Frank
Naeymi-Rad, PhD, President of IMO.
IMO also provides consulting services to implement the medical
annotation art library on multiple different platforms including: Lotus
Notes, HTML (Internet), Delphi, and many others. In
addition, IMO provides consulting to modify and/or create customized
annotation art.
